Project Schedule
The SR 76 PD&E Study began in November 2008. The development and evaluation of the widening alternatives are underway. An Alternatives Public Workshop was held on April 13 2010, and a Public Hearing is tentatively scheduled for winter 2011/12. The PD&E Study is anticipated to be complete in the summer of 2012.
Project Kickoff Newsletter and Kick-Off Meetings: April 16, 2009
The kick-off newsletter and kick-off meetings served to introduce the project and the study to the public and solicited questions, comments, and suggestions.
Project Alternatives Newsletter and Public Workshop: April 13, 2010
The Alternative Public Workshop Newsletter and Alternatives Public Workshop showed the various alternative design concepts for SR 76 and public input was received.
Public Hearing: Winter 2011/2012
The Public Hearing is a formal meeting at which comments on the findings of the study, including its proposed alignment and design concept, are entered into the public record.
Location and Design Concept Acceptance: Summer 2012
Once all comments made in conjunction with the Public Hearing are analyzed and, if appropriate, incorporated into the study, the study documents are completed and forwarded to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for its official Location and Design Concept Acceptance of the recommended alternative.
